Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TrustQuote, business management software designed for service professionals including plumbers, HVAC technicians, electricians, and similar trades.

What TrustQuote Provides

  • Invoicing & Quotes: Create, send, and track professional invoices and quotes
  • Customer Management: Store and organize customer information and job history
  • Scheduling: Calendar and job scheduling with team assignment
  • Payment Tracking: Track payments and connect with Stripe for online payments
  • Expense Tracking: Record business expenses for tax and profitability analysis
  • Team Features: Invite team members with role-based access
  • AI Assistance: Optional text enhancement for professional communication

Account Requirements

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use TrustQuote
  • You must provide accurate business and contact information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • One business per account (multi-location support available)
  • You must have authority to act on behalf of your business

Your Responsibilities

As a service professional, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate pricing and service descriptions to your customers
  • Maintain any required business licenses for your trade
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
  • Handle customer disputes directly (TrustQuote is not a party to your contracts)
  • Keep customer data you collect secure and use it appropriately
  • Not use the service for illegal activities

Data Ownership

Your data belongs to you.

  • You retain full ownership of all business data you enter
  • You can export your data at any time in standard formats (JSON, CSV)
  • We will never sell your data or use it for advertising
  • Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed

Payment Processing

  • Online payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor
  • TrustQuote does not store credit card numbers
  • Stripe's fees apply to online payment transactions
  • Payment disputes are handled through Stripe's dispute process
  • You are responsible for refunds and chargebacks from your customers

Service Availability

  • We target 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
  • Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
  • Features may be updated, added, or removed with notice
  • Email delivery depends on third-party services (Resend)
  • AI features are provided for convenience and may have usage limits

Limitation of Liability

Important Disclaimers:

  • TrustQuote is software, not a business advisor or legal service
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy of invoices you create
  • We are not liable for disputes between you and your customers
  • We do not guarantee customer payment or email delivery
  • We are not responsible for your compliance with trade regulations
  • Maximum liability is limited to fees you paid in the past 12 months

Your Customer Relationships

TrustQuote helps you manage customer relationships, but:

  • Your invoices create a contract between you and your customer, not with TrustQuote
  • You are responsible for the services you provide and warranties you offer
  • Customer complaints should be directed to you, not TrustQuote
  • You must comply with consumer protection laws in your area

Prohibited Uses

  • Fraudulent or deceptive business practices
  • Illegal services or activities
  • Harassment or abuse of others
  • Attempting to breach security or access other accounts
  • Reselling or sublicensing TrustQuote access
  • Automated scraping or data extraction

Account Termination

You may close your account at any time from Business Settings.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Violation of these terms
  • Illegal or fraudulent activity
  • Non-payment of applicable fees
  • Extended inactivity (with prior notice)

Before termination, you will have the opportunity to export your data.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless TrustQuote from claims arising from: your use of the service, your business operations, disputes with your customers, or your violation of these terms.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.
